2010 Ryder Cup tees off as transatlantic corporate entertaining hub

Press information for release 23 August 2010

Keith Prowse, an official hospitality agent at the 2010 Ryder Cup, has announced a high level of interest from companies based in both the United Kingdom and United States eager to entertain at the event.

The biennial golf showpiece is contested by the finest players in Europe and the United States and will also be a star attraction for the major players in business on both sides of the Atlantic.

Transatlantic firms are eager to use the match-play spectacular - taking place from Thursday 30th September to Sunday 3rd October at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales - as a thrilling backdrop as they entertain clients, target business wins and reward employees.

Large corporate groups of up to 50 will enjoy the privacy of their own tailored entertaining space in the 16th Fairway Chalets, positioned in the perfect vantage point for watching testing approach shots on the 508-yard par 4. Business parties can also book tables of 10 at the 17th Fairway Restaurant, situated close to the action on the penultimate hole of the purpose-built Twenty Ten Course.

The President’s Club will cater for smaller groups, providing a discreet but lavishly-styled space featuring television lounges overlooking the course in the Kidwelly Pavilion.

Ted Walker, Head of Marketing at Keith Prowse said: “The Ryder Cup is always a hugely popular event with our clients from the United States, and 2010 will be no different. In particular firms with offices on both sides of the Atlantic are keen to embrace an event which represents the international element of their brand.”
