Birkdale 2008
Mark O’Meara was the last Open Champion at Royal Birkdale in 1998. This challenging links golf course has been voted the No 1 course in Britain and has held two Ryder Cups, the Walker Cup and the Curtis Cup; however Birkdale is the only course in Open rotation that has never had a champion from the United Kingdom.
