The two day festival of horse racing dates back to 1780 and is home to the greatest flat racing in the world. Over 100,000 people visit Epsom Downs Racecourse to enjoy the style of Ladies Day and the thrill of the racing on Derby Day.
2009 sees the opening of Epsom’s eagerly awaited new Grandstand. The Grandstand will be officially opened at the Spring Meeting and will provide fantastic entertaining opportunities. With fourteen days of flat racing and hospitality options to suit all requirements Epsom Racecourse is a great choice for entertaining.
Queen’s Stand Private Boxes
Offering breathtaking views over the racecourse, finishing straight and the Downs the Queen’s Stand private boxes are always in high demand. The parade ring and winners enclosure are close by giving you the opportunity to view your favourite runners pre- and post-race. The Queen’s Stand private boxes can be hired as a single box or connected to make a double box. A single box can accommodate groups of 16 for a seated meal and groups of 24 for a buffet meal.

Grandstand Private Boxes
Epsom’s new Grandstand offers 14 private boxes which are in high demand for the Epsom Derby Festival.
Grandstand box holders can view the course, finishing straight and the Downs from the comfort of your own private box. There is also access to a shared balcony at the back of the Grandstand which overlooks the parade ring.
The Grandstand private boxes can be hired as a single box or connected to make a double. There are two corner boxes, which offer spectacular views over the Downs and the track. In addition to this there is also The Downs View Suite, this is a large private box situated in a prime position in the middle of the Grandstand’s second floor. The Downs View Suite is available to hire for large private parties of 100 for a seated meal or 130 for a buffet meal. A single box will accommodate 16 for a seated meal and 24 for a buffet meal.

Derby Suite
Located on the third floor of the Queen’s Stand, the Derby Suite has private balconies overlooking the winner’s circle, finishing line and the parade ring. With stunning views across the Downs and the City of London, you will have the opportunity to view the runners both pre- and post-race, without leaving the comfort of your hospitality suite.

Diomed Suite
The Diomed suite is the main first floor restaurant in Epsom’s new Grandstand. The Diomed suite has full length windows and balconies on both sides of the Grandstand, so guests can overlook the course and the parade rind without leaving their hospitality suite.

Blue Riband Room
The Blue Riband Room is located on the first floor of the Queen’s Stand and is a wonderful place to spend the day. A private balcony overlooks the parade ring and a shared public balcony gives views of the track and winner’s circle. The Blue Riband is at the very heart of the Queen’s Stand and is a highly prized location.
