Donations from Wimbledon packages to go to Cancer Research UK

With The Championships at Wimbledon drawing closer, Keith Prowse (the UK's first for hospitality) has created yet another precedent with the announcement of its tie-in with Cancer Research UK. 

Keith Prowse, official hospitality provider to one of the world's most iconic events, and parent company Compass Group UK & Ireland are helping to raise over £250,000 in 2009 for the charity.   Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research and supports the work of more than 4,500 scientists, doctors and nurses.

To help with the giving, Keith Prowse is donating £150 from each package sold at the published price.  (Donations to Cancer Research UK are valid only on packages booked for Monday 29th June 2009.*)  Guests purchasing the charity packages will be party to the unsurpassed entertainment synonymous with Keith Prowse: the very best courtside seats and the glamorous Gatsby Club as their base for a day's tennis and socialising.  The purpose-built Gatsby Club offers elegant 1920s art deco styling and is minutes from Centre Court and No. 1 Court.  

Guests enjoying this wonderful opportunity will be encouraged to arrive for a champagne and canapé reception at the complimentary bar, which will be followed by a delicious 3-course à la carte lunch.  Afternoon tea will be served throughout the day, as well as the quintessential strawberries and cream.   

Packages can be purchased for between 2 and 100 guests, which will result in donations from Keith Prowse of  between £300 and £15,000 to Cancer Research UK.

The Gatsby Club package is available for £750 + VAT per person and includes: official No. 1 Court ticket, plasma television screens to keep guests informed of play, garden area, air-conditioning, official Wimbledon programme, newspapers available upon request, seat cushions for Court No. 1 ticket holders, business lounge including wireless internet access, and commemorative VIP pass and documentation.
