Keith Prowse sponsors junior tennis tournament
Keith Prowse Press Release
Corporate Hospitality Provider Keith Prowse once again sponsored the Wimbledon Club/Keith Prowse Junior Tennis Tournament this year, donating £4,000 to the Wimbledon-based competition for young tennis players aged between eight and 18.
Aimed at encouraging all standards of players the competition is now in its 15th year. As popular as ever, more than 100 youngsters battled it out to win their respective categories all dressed in Keith Prowse Junior Tournament t-shirts.
Ted Walker, marketing manager Keith Prowse, said: “Our close association with the UK’s greatest tennis tournaments, such as Wimbledon and the Artois Championships, has given us a real interest in the grass roots game. This is why once again this year we have sponsored the Keith Prowse/Wimbledon Club Junior Tournament. Our congratulations go out to all those who took part, especially those who won trophies for their sportsmanship – Paul Monczakowski (10 and under age group) and Evelina Belevich (12 and under age group). Who knows, maybe the next time we see them they will be on our screens at Wimbledon.”
Freda Parker, organiser of the tournament and club manager, said: “The club would like to thank Keith Prowse for their continued and valued sponsorship of this event. Nine years ago a certain Melanie South was a winner here in the under 14 age group and just last year, along with Alex Bogdanovich, beat the number one mixed double seeds at Wimbledon. This shows the quality of the players at the club and Keith Prowse’s support has helped these youngsters achieve their aims, whether it’s Wimbledon or enjoying our great game of tennis.”
