Andy Flower has said Craig Kieswetter has the ability to impress fans with ODI tickets
The former Australia great is widely acknowledged as one of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen of all time and Flower has claimed that despite his current slump in form, Kieswetter is good enough to emulate this success.
England coach Flower noted that the opener has had "an interesting time" recently, after scoring a century in just his third match watched by fans with ODI tickets
Since then, his average has slumped to just 26.7 following a string of disappointing scores in the recent 50-over campaigns against Australia and Bangladesh.
Regardless of this, Flower compared Kieswetter to Gilchrist and another legend of the game, Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya.
"I don't really use the word pinch-hitter myself, but he's an aggressive opening batsman for us, pretty much in the mould of Jayasuriya or Gilchrist," he explained.
