Fans with Twickenham tickets for the England v Ireland 6 Nations clash may see Toby Flood start in the midfield if he can impress against Wales this weekend.
The Leicester Tigers fly-half has been named in Martin Johnson's starting line-up for the February 6th 2010 match against Wales after Riki Flutey was ruled out having suffered an injury to his right thigh in training.
"It has been decided that [Flutey] would not recover sufficiently to take part in the match against Wales at Twickenham," the RFU said.
The injury paves the way for Flood to impress the England coach at inside centre, with his ex-Newcastle Falcons team-mate Mathew Tait set to start outside him.
Another player eager to impress in the opening match of the tournament will be Ronan O'Gara. The Munster fly-half has been recalled to the Ireland starting 15 to face Italy after Jonathan Sexton suffered a dead leg earlier this week.
