Ben Foden could be the unlikely key to victory in the England v Barbarians clash at Twickenham on May 30th 2010.
The Northampton full-back has never started a Test match for England, but his 20-minute performance as a substitute against Ireland on February 27th has led the French team to single him out as a potential danger man.
Dave Ellis, France's defence coach, told the Mirror that Foden has the ability to be as much of an attacking threat for Martin Johnson's side as former Sale Sharks back Jason Robinson.
"England when they attacked didn't really cause Ireland any problems whatsoever, apart from when Foden came on," said Ellis, who is also the former Gloucester defence coach.
"He is a danger man, a guy who can pose a major threat."
Foden is the favourite to start against France as Delon Armitage sits out the match through injury and a strong performance could put him in line for the number 15 shirt in the England v Barbarians game.
