The invitation sevens tournament, first held in 1926, is one of the oldest sevens competitions in England and is the most famous charity rugby event in the world. Today the Middlesex Charity Sevens is held as a celebration of a new season. In 2009, London Irish were crowned Middlesex 7s Champions after beating ULR Samurai in an exciting Final.
