After a nail biting final against Andy Roddick, the 2009 Championships saw Roger Federer crowned champion, earning his record-breaking 15th grand slam title. Serena Williams beat older sister, Venus in another all-American, all-Venus women`s singles final.
The 2009 Championships, Wimbledon saw a new retractable roof on Centre Court, allowing uninterrupted play, come rain or shine.
