Keith Prowse entertains corporates throughout summer of cricket
Unprecedented range of hospitality packages launched for 2010 season
Press information: 30 April 2010
An extensive range of corporate entertaining options has been launched by Keith Prowse, the UK’s hospitality leader, ahead of this year’s cricket season.
From Test cricket to One Day Internationals and Twenty20 contests, a wide variety of carefully planned corporate hospitality packages are now available at iconic venues such as the Brit Oval, Lord’s and other international grounds across the country. Companies will be provided with the perfect opportunity to develop business relationships using an exhilarating sporting backdrop.
Cricket hospitality at the Brit Oval includes the fourth match of an eagerly-anticipated ODI series between old foes England and Australia, before the visit of Pakistan for both Test and ODI matches. The Australia match will see the launch of the new Players Lounge, where guests will enjoy Q&A sessions with famous ex-players including Michael Vaughan and Nasser Hussain, not forgetting the England and Wales Cricket Board’s Chairman of Selectors Geoff Miller. The Players Lounge joins the OCS Stand’s Gold Package, the Laker Stand and Pavilion End packages, and a variety of smaller facilities around the ground in the Keith Prowse hospitality range.
Lord’s, the Home of Cricket, plays host to an even larger range of matches, including Pakistan vs Australia – the first neutral series to take place in England - as well as England’s Test and ODI fixtures against the two countries. The first Test of the summer, an age old tradition at the venue, begins on Thursday 27th May with the visit of Bangladesh. Keith Prowse packages for the Captain’s Lounge – an intimate setting including an ex-international captain – and the spacious Nursery Pavilion, both include sought-after Mound Stand seats.
Domestic cricket also offers a wide range of entertaining options from the one-day Clydesdale Bank 40 to the Friends Provident t20. Twenty20 matches are exciting three-hour contests which fit conveniently into a manageable post-work slot, with Brit Oval and Lord’s packages being targeted at corporates too busy to spare a day away from the office. Clients entertaining at Surrey Lions vs Kent Spitfires on Friday 18th June at the Brit Oval will treat their guests to a special live screening of the England vs Algeria FIFA World Cup football match, which begins shortly after the close of play.
To add to the growing interest in Twenty20 cricket, Brit Oval inhabitants the Surrey Brown Caps have lined up big-hitting Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds for the Friends Provident t20, while his legendary countryman Adam Gilchrist will appear at Lord’s for the Middlesex Crusaders.
Ted Walker, Marketing Manager at Keith Prowse, said: “This season our cricket hospitality range spans every major competition at every major English venue. We have already seen a rush to snap up international match packages, especially for the return of Australia, while the phenomenally popular Twenty20 competition offers a perfect evening entertaining option.”
