Press information for release 30 November 2010

Keith Prowse is responding to renewed confidence in the corporate hospitality and live event market with the confirmation of Andrew Hodgkins as Managing Director and Andy Vinsen as Commercial Director.

Keith Prowse, part of the Sport, Leisure & Hospitality division of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is recognised as a leading supplier of corporate hospitality and boasts the UK’s largest number of official hospitality appointments across sports and cultural governing bodies.  Hodgkins and Vinsen will assume responsibilities with immediate effect, driving the company forward as the market for corporate hospitality in the UK is expected to reach £1.47 billion in 2015*.

Andrew Hodgkins and Andy Vinsen have worked for the company for over 20 years each and are individually recognised as figureheads for their thought leadership and progressive stance in driving professionalism in the corporate hospitality and tour sector.

The industry should take note as Keith Prowse prepares to announce a number of ventures over the next few weeks, including the launch of new corporate hospitality developments at iconic UK sporting stadia.

Initiatives already put in place by the new management team include the appointment of regional sales people to drive revenues from regional business centres and key contracts including Edgbaston cricket ground.  Other changes include the creation of a commercial team combining the trade sales and brokerage functions; allowing Keith Prowse to foster closer two-way relationships with both event organisers and agents.

Keith Prowse employs over 50 full time staff and is the official appointed provider of corporate hospitality for The Championships, Wimbledon, Domestic and International Rugby at Twickenham Stadium, The Brit Insurance Oval, Lord's, AEGON Championships, Cheltenham National Hunt Festival, The Old Course Experience, Edgbaston, Henley Royal Regatta and more.

Andrew Hodgkins, MD said: “We have a lot of hard work ahead and some very exciting opportunities that we are looking forward to bringing to fruition.  Corporate hospitality is now firmly engrained as part of the marketing mix and it is our responsibility to help demonstrate a return on investment to clients who invest in this type of marketing.”

Andy Vinsen, Commercial Director continues: “Customers are looking for new types of corporate hospitality in addition to the traditions of the sporting arena. With over 200 years worth of entertainment experience we are primed to take advantage of the increased demand for entertaining options at cultural events such as West End theatre, rock concerts and festivals.”
