Keith Prowse’s Players’ Lounge gets up close and personal with Johnno’s World Cup hopefuls

Press information for release 7 October 2010

Keith Prowse, the UK’s hospitality leader, has announced the availability of a number of exclusive places for the Players’ Lounge during the upcoming Investec Internationals at Twickenham Stadium.

Fresh from taking on the world’s best on the field, a group of leading England rugby players will interact in a series of unique Questions and Answer Sessions in the Players’ Lounge, located in Twickenham’s Rugby House development in the South Stand. England will take on the best Southern Hemisphere rugby has to offer this autumn as Martin Johnson’s men square up to Tri Nations champions New Zealand (6th November) and world champions South Africa (27th November), either sides of  matches with Australia (13th November) and Samoa (20th November).

The England stars are open to be quizzed on their match efforts and prospects for the forthcoming 2011 World Cup in revealing face-to-face interviews with guests, hosted by one of rugby’s leading broadcasters. This year’s RBS 6 Nations featured post-match appearances from the likes of Danny Care, Lewis Moody, James Haskell and Simon Shaw, while 100-cap legend Jason Leonard contributed to the building atmosphere before kick-off.

Thursday 7th October will see Keith Prowse’s 2010-2011 rugby range launched at the Twickenham Wine Club event, held in association with official wine supplier Wolf Blass. In a taster for the Players’ Lounge, fly-half Paul Hodgson and centre Dominic Waldouck will mix with Keith Prowse clients and selected media figures at the Science Museum, London.

The Players’ Lounge experience is underpinned by fine dining and exceptional service, featuring a pre-game champagne bar hosted by a rugby legend and four-course lunch matched with fine wines from Wolf Blass’ extensive cellar. Business relationships will be strengthened and high-performance employees rewarded in an unparalleled corporate entertainment environment.

The Players’ Lounge is a representation of the new breed of experiential hospitality packages offered by Keith Prowse. Clients holding meetings at The Speakeasy, Keith Prowse’s purpose-built business facility at The Championships, Wimbledon, enjoyed a playing and coaching session with Pat Cash, former champion of the Grand Slam.

Ted Walker, Keith Prowse’s Head of Marketing said: “Packages such as the Players’ Lounge and The Speakeasy are providing the exclusive opportunity of interaction with sport’s famous names. As soon as the last rugby season concluded we began working towards ensuring that the Players’ Lounge remains the height of corporate entertainment in the UK. Through our consistent canvassing of client opinion, we are confident that face-to-face time continues to be a valued element of marketing strategy.”
