Job Title Event Manager
Level Team Member – Keith Prowse hospitality
Reports to Head of Events

The main purpose of this role is to ensure a high level of operational delivery at assigned events.

The main focus of the role is to plan and deliver assigned events both operationally and financially. To manage sales, suppliers, budgets and customer movement. To be the key operational point of contact for venues and caterers.

The key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Day to day liaison with venues and caterers to set up facilities and catering arrangements
  • Supplier liaison and ordering
  • Preparing event target budgets, working budgets and event reconciliation’s in liaison with the Finance Analyst
  • Preparing and maintaining weekly sales reports and allocation reports in liaison with the Sales Manager and venue
  • Ticket allocations and markbacks
  • Setting up and delivery of event documentation
  • Approving factsheets, event documentation and any other literature relating to the event
  • XMS management (In house stock management programme) - Setting up of events and continual stock management
  • Generating table plans
  • Attend tastings and meetings with the Head of Operations and Hospitality Manager
  • Dealing with customers both face to face by telephone or email
  • Assisting the Sales Manager to maximise profitability
  • Responsible for innovation/product review for own events to include market research, competitor analysis
  • On-day event management

  • Word, Excel, E-mail and Microsoft Office experience

  • Good use of the English Language and mathematical skills
  • Efficient working method with a keen attention to detail
  • 3 years operational experience in an Event Manager role, preferably in hospitality.
