Keith Prowse unveils cricketing celebrities for Brit Insurance Oval
PCA Ambassadors inked in for Gold Packages as international summer approaches
Press information for release 1 July 2010
Guests enjoying hospitality at the Brit Insurance Oval will rub shoulders with a cast of cricketing celebrities this summer after the revelation of Keith Prowse’s PCA Ambassadors.
In conjunction with the Professional Cricketers’ Association, the UK’s hospitality leader has announced that former England stars Dominic Cork and Nick Knight will be mingling with Keith Prowse guests throughout England vs Pakistan in the 3rd npower Test match (Wednesday 18th August – 22nd August), as part of all Gold Packages.
With 186 internationals between them, Cork and Knight will spend time in the India Room, Laker Restaurant, Roof Terrace and England Suite areas, providing companies with a unique entertaining option ahead of the hospitality season. Cork was England’s leading all-rounder for the best part of a decade and is now an engaging broadcaster, while dynamic opening batsman Knight has represented his country in 100 One Day Internationals.
The illustrious pair will be joined for the England vs Australia NatWest Series ODI (Wednesday 30th June) – already a sell out – by fiery former Australia fast bowler Rodney Hogg and popular Sky Sports anchorman Charles Coleville, while BBC Radio 5Live’s Cricket Correspondent Pat Murphy will join the PCA Ambassador Team for the England vs Pakistan NatWest Series ODI (Friday 17th September) later in the summer.
The news follows the confirmation of ex England captains Nasser Hussain and Michael Vaughan as participants in Keith Prowse’s new ultra-exclusive Players’ Lounge package at the Brit Insurance Oval, alongside England’s highest ODI wicket taker Darren Gough, ECB Chairman of Selectors Geoff Miller, and leading cricket broadcaster Mark Nicholas.
Ceri Richardson, Head of Sales at the Brit Insurance Oval said: “The addition of high profile cricketing figures such as Dominic Cork and Nick Knight adds another great element to our hospitality packages. Guests at our ground will always expect the best and both Dominic and Nick are leading figures in their field and will offer incisive analysis at all times.”
While Angus Porter, Chief Executive at the Professional Cricketers Association commented: “Our Ambassadors are picked for their ability to represent the sport in the best possible manner, and we believe Dominic and Nick will enhance corporate hospitality at the Brit Insurance Oval by offering guests the priceless perspective of an experienced international cricketer.”
