Ravi Bopara grabbed the opportunity to play in front of fans with ODI tickets
The Essex all-rounder was called up for the final game of the three-match series as a replacement for Ian Bell, who fractured a metatarsal in Saturday's defeat to the tourists.
Bopara jumped at the chance to feature in a clash watched by people with ODI tickets
His rapid-fire knock, plus 110 from Jonathan Trott and 154 from Strauss, meant England were well on their way to wrapping up a 2-1 series victory.
Although Tamim Iqbal got Bangladesh off to a flying start, the opener perished for 16 and they showed few signs of being able to keep up with the required run rate.
Having been thrown the ball, Bopara then managed to pick up four wickets for 38 as the opposition were bowled out for 203, handing England a 144-run victory.
