Andrew Strauss 'will come good'
08/05/2012
England Test cricket captain Andrew Strauss will soon get back in the runs, team-mate Jonathan Trott has said.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Trott said the lack of runs being suffered by the captain is not so different a situation to that suffered by Alastair Cook in 2010 before he hit top form in the Ashes Down Under.
He added: "I'm not saying Strauss is going to do that, but he might go on to score even more. Who knows what this game has in store for us."
Fans booking corporate hospitality for the Lord's Test between England and the West Indies later this month may be hoping the captain can make his first Test hundred for England since the Ashes tour.
His 110 at Brisbane coincided with Cook's 235 not out, one of three centuries made by the Essex opener as he piled up 766 runs in a series he began with his place allegedly under threat.
