Andy Murray's bid to win a first grand slam made good progress as he cruised through his second round match at the Australian Open in straight sets.

The Scot won 6-1 6-4 6-4 against Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin, to cruise into round three.

His next opponent is another Frenchman, Michael Llodra, who came through a five-set marathon to defeat Alex Bogomolov Jr to set up the clash.

Fans can see Murray chasing grand slam glory back in Britain at Wimbledon this summer, but just before that they can watch the Scot in action while enjoying hospitality packages at the Aegon Championships at Queens Club.

While Andy Murray made progress, his brother Jamie suffered doubles disappointment in Melbourne as he and partner Paul Hanley were knocked out.

Other Britons to lose included Ken Skupski and his Belgian partner Xavier Malisse, plus the ladies pair Anne Keothavong and German Mona Barthel, adding to a bad week for most of the British players.
