Andy Murray will be focused on trying to break his grand slam duck at Wimbledon after bowing out in the quarter finals of The French Open.

The Scot was defeated in four sets at Roland Garros by clay court specialist David Ferrer, ending a mixed tournament when some strong performances were set against matches where he struggled with injuries.

He commented: "I think it was a good tournament for me."

"I probably wasn't feeling as good as I did coming in last year. I lost to a better clay-court player than me."

He pledged to go on working on his clay court game, but the grass court season now looms and fans booking Wimbledon 2012 hospitality will be keen to see if Murray can become the first British male grand slam winner since 1936.

The semi-finals in Paris will see Rafael Nadal take on Ferrer, while Novak Djokovic will play Roger Federer.
