Andy Murray will play on despite injury
25/05/2012
Fans who have booked tennis hospitality packages for this year's Wimbledon will be hoping that world number four Andy Murray can shake off a back injury in time for the competition.
Murray was clearly struggling as he bowed out of the Rome Masters recently and German tennis legend Boris Becker called for the Scot to rest up ahead of the London showpiece.
That would rule Murray out of the French Open, but the British number one is determined to take to the court at Roland Garros.
Murray came through an exhibition game against Latvian Ernests Gulbis at the Paris Golf and Country Club yesterday (May 24th).
Although he lost the match 7-6, 7-6, the Scot did not show any signs that his injured back was affecting his game.
The draw for the French Open has now been made and Murray will face Japan's Tasuma Ito in the first round. Murray was also placed in the same half of the draw as Spanish sensation Rafael Nadal.
