Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted he will stay at the Emirates Stadium next year, after making comments suggesting he might be about to walk away.

The Gunners boss was quoted by the French press as hinting he may not be in the role in the 2012-13 season, but he told the club website: "I have a few more years to go. I will stay and that's it. It was a little sentence if you read well."

He added: "I am totally committed here and I will show you that at the end of the season."

Those enjoying Premier League hospitality at Arsenal games may be delighted to hear the news, not least as the team has overcome a dire start to the season to post an impressive run, with Saturday (November 19th) bringing another victory with a 2-1 win at Norwich.

Wenger took over as Arsenal manager from Bruce Rioch early in the 1996-97 season and his teams have won the Premier League and FA Cup double twice, in 1998 and 2002.
