AT&T National win moves Justin Rose closer to Ryder Cup place

Justin Rose's chances of competing in front of fans with Ryder Cup corporate tickets

The Englishman's victory in the Pennsylvania tournament does not guarantee him a place in European captain Colin Montgomerie's squad to take on the US at the Celtic Manor Resort in October 2010, but it does move him a step closer.

Rose's first three rounds of 69, 64 and 67 left him leading the field with ten under par going into the final day, where he managed to post a steady 70.

A defiant final charge from Ryan Moore - who shot 65 to leave him five under par for the day - proved to be not quite enough, with the American finishing on nine under to hand Rose the title by a single stroke.

Despite this success, Rose still faces tough competition to appear in front of people with Ryder Cup corporate tickets
