Bexhill rowers secure Henley Regatta berth

Four members of Bexhill Rowing Club have qualified to race in front of fans with Henley Regatta tickets this year.
Mark Mitchell, Joe Guppy, Matt Hellier and Kieran Cahill will take part in the prestigious event when it is held next month, the Hastings and St Leonards Observer reports.
"Bexhill finished second in their first heat behind Oxford Brookes in a respectable time of six minutes 50 seconds over the 2,000m course to put them through to the semi-finals," the publication noted.
The crew's performance has qualified them for the regatta and a berth in the heats, which take place next Wednesday. People with Henley Regatta tickets can see the final the following weekend.
In related news, the Times reported earlier this month that Olympic gold medallist Greg Searle is due to take part in this year's Henley Royal Regatta.
Although it is ten years since he has competed, the 38-year-old has been taking part in an intensive training programme.
