Bradley Dredge has revealed he has one eye on playing in front of fans with Ryder Cup corporate tickets

The golfer hit 66 in his opening round at the Scottish course to leave him six under par yesterday (July 15th 2010), putting him in contention for the championship and eclipsing Tiger Woods in the process.

Following the round, Dredge revealed he is still hopeful that a strong showing in the tournament could help secure him a place to play in front of enthusiasts with Ryder Cup corporate tickets

Dredge was quoted by the Western Mail as saying: "The £850,000 first prize would literally put me in the Ryder Cup team and I’ve got that in mind still. You never know."

He finished the opening day in joint third place, level with the likes of John Daly and Andrew Coltart and behind Louis Oosthuizen and leader Rory McIlroy.
