Brit Oval tickets news: Chris Tremlett set to make Surrey debut

Those with Oval tickets to see Surrey take on Gloucestershire this week in the LV+ County Championship could witness the debut of fast bowler Chris Tremlett.

The 28-year-old Englishman has been on the sidelines with a groin injury since signing for the Lions from Hampshire earlier this year, but is now available for first-team selection and could make an appearance in the 12-man squad between May 4th and 7th 2010.

News of Tremlett's recovery may give a much-needed boost to Surrey, who are second from bottom in Division Two having failed to win a match so far this season.

Manager Chris Adams suggested progress has been made recently - pointing out that his team almost took victory against Warwickshire last month - and suggested he is hoping they can go on to do well against Gloucestershire.

"Since then we have enjoyed a week's break and put in some positive One Day performances so I am looking forward to continuing our positive momentum against Gloucestershire," he remarked.
