Chelsea Flower Show hospitality guests could see 'best event ever'

01/04/2011

Event organisers have suggested that those enjoying RHS Chelsea Flower Show hospitality in 2011 could witness the greatest occasion to date.

Guests at this year's show will see a distinctly international affair, with gardens inspired by a variety of far-flung countries set to be displayed.

According to promoters, many of the exhibits "have drawn heavily on the history of plant hunting around the world".

Evidence of such expeditions in Asia and central America will be shown by Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones, while Trailfinders Australian Garden will demonstrate links between English and Australian horticulture.

Those who wish to see quintessentially English designs are also well catered for, as the RBC New Wild garden created by Dr Nigel Dunnett embraces planting ideas first founded by Victorian horticulturalists.

According to the Royal Gazette, award-winning flower arranger Nicky Gurret will showcase her Bermuda Honeymoon Garden at the event, which starts at the end of next month.
