Darren Bravo offers ray of hope for West Indies

England's next home Test opponents the West Indies suffered an innings defeat in the second Test of their current series in India, but one of their players hinted at a continuing rise to stardom.
Darren Bravo hit 136 as the visitors made 463 in their second innings, an impressive score in most circumstances, but not enough to save the Caribbean side from an innings and 15 run defeat in Kolkata.
The damage had been done after the tourists made only 153 in their first innings in response to India's huge 631-7 declared.
Those enjoying hospitality packages at the Edgbaston Test next summer may relish seeing Bravo bat, with his statistics after 12 Tests being identical to those of the great Brian Lara - 941 runs at 47.05.
Bravo has also been noted as having a similar style to Lara and the West Indies will be hoping to revive some other past memories as they seek their first Test match win in England since 2000 - which came at Edgbaston.
