England's number one at World Cup 2010 should be David James, David Seaman has said.
Seaman rejected the idea that, at 39, James is too old for the position.
In an interview with Goal.com UK, the former Arsenal and England star pointed out: "I was the same age when I made the best save of my career against Sheffield United."
He went on to state that James's experience on the field would stand him in good stead and also noted that his prowess has not deteriorated over time.
As such, he stated that James should be England's leading man for World Cup 2010.
Seaman also mentioned Petr Cech among the goalkeepers who he said had had "great seasons" in the Premier League.
Cech, for his part, has also recommended James as the Three Lions' first-choice keeper, citing his playing experience as a good reason.
He told the Mirror that James is physically fit and capable.
