Book a 2010 Fifa World Cup experience to beat the ticket rush?

Football fans may decide that booking a 2010 World Cup experience is a better bet than entering the lottery of the ticket draw, if recent data is anything to go by.

Over 500,000 requests have already been submitted to Fifa for entrance to the matches in South Africa next summer, with 77 per cent - 386,000 - coming from the host nation.

Britons have made the third-highest number of applications (20,232), behind the USA (22,942) and ahead of Mexico (7,891).

Chairman of the Fifa Ticketing sub-committee Horst R Schmidt remarked: "In comparison with the previous editions of the Fifa World Cups, the latest ticket applications figures are impressive."

He added those who secure a ticket are not only buying a seat but also their "spot in South African history".

People who choose a World Cup experience package could watch teams such as England, Brazil, Portugal and Spain battle it out to be crowned the best team on the planet.ADNFCR-2911-ID-19513822-ADNFCR
