Brit Oval corporate hospitality news: Surrey appoint new captain

29/12/2009

Cricket fans visiting the Brit Oval for a corporate hospitality experience next season will be witnessing a Surrey side led by a new captain after the club announced the signing of rising star Rory Hamilton-Brown.

Despite being just 22 years old, Hamilton-Brown has been appointed as captain after returning for his second spell at the club.

He went through the Surrey academy before joining Sussex in 2007.

Hamilton-Brown said that despite his fondness for Sussex, he was delighted to be returning to the Oval.

"It's no exaggeration to say that returning to Surrey as captain is the dream of a lifetime for me personally as well as a massive honour and a huge responsibility," he said.

As well as the full county cricket season, those seeking a corporate hospitality experience at the Oval in 2010 may be interested to note that the ground will be hosting a Test match between England and Pakistan next year.

On September 17th 2010, it will also stage a one-day game between England and Australia.ADNFCR-2911-ID-19532633-ADNFCR
