Lord's corporate hospitality news: Wright 'should play against Bangladesh'

11/12/2009

Those who book a corporate hospitality experience at Lord's for the first test against Bangladesh will see Luke Wright in action, if one player has his way.

Retired batsman Graham Thorpe said the Sussex all-rounder should be drafted into the England team for his debut sooner rather than later.

He would be a useful player as he is an "impact bowler", he explained.

Thorpe remarked: "They have to gamble and go with five bowlers. How else do you take 20 wickets in a match?"

Meanwhile, batsman Owais Shah also believes he should be getting more of a look in.

He told Cricinfo.com selectors do not believe he is consistent enough for a regular spot, but that "there's got to be more which I haven't been told about".

England take on Bangladesh between May 27th and 31st 2010, with the second test match due to begin at Old Trafford in Manchester on June 4th 2010.ADNFCR-2911-ID-19508513-ADNFCR
