Fabio Capello has not ruled out the chance that Owen Hargreaves will be one of the players football fans will be able to see on a World Cup experience trip.

The England coach said the Manchester United midfielder must regain his fitness and force his way into the thoughts of his club manager Sir Alex Ferguson before he can be considered for a spot on the plane to South Africa.

"He can because he has time to recover everything. He has to play. Players who do not play will not be with me," the Italian remarked.

Capello also suggested he is baffled about the fortunes of striker Michael Owen, stating he was surprised to see the former Liverpool man dropped after scoring a hat-trick in the Champions League for United last week.

"He [Michael Owen] is one of the important England players," the Three Lions supremo added.

Sir Alex recently told the Press Association the ex-Newcastle United star will be given enough games to be considered for the squad.
