Soccer fans planning to book World Cup Tour tickets could get the chance to watch DaMarcus Beasley in action against England.

The Glasgow Rangers winger told AFP he is hoping to gain a spot on the USA's plane to South Africa next summer.

If selected, he could line up against England in their opening match of the tournament on June 12th 2010.

The midfielder has been hitting the headlines after scoring in games against Motherwell and Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League.

He told the news provider the dream of playing for the USA at the finals is in the back of his mind.

"I'm optimistic the call will come. Coach [Bob] Bradley has known me since I was 16 and he knows what I can do," he remarked.

Another winger who will be hoping to play in the Group C opening game is Aston Villa star James Milner.

His manager Martin O'Neill recently suggested the versatile player would be a good choice for Fabio Capello's squad.
