With Ian Bell suffering from a foot injury, the batsman could be in the running for a place in the Test squad, bolstered by his 'player of the series' award in the recent one-day match against the Aussies.
Morgan secured 103 innings from 83 balls in the game, while two other successful performances against Bangladesh could win him a place for the Pakistan series and the Ashes, Sporting Life reports.
"I only came into the side a year ago and a lot has happened since then. If I have another year like this, I will be very happy, but it means taking every opportunity as it comes," the Middlesex star explained.
Former Pakistan captains Younis Khan and Muhammad Yousuf could be included in the country's squad against England, the Daily Times newspaper recently reported.
