Ian Poulter made this statement, observing that the US team is unlikely to be happy about the turn of events, with the Europeans currently ahead of the Americans in terms of PGA Tour victories.
"It's great. I love it," Poulter remarked. "More passion will be spilled out over Celtic Manor, which is great. I can't wait."
According to the Express, he went on to state that all this activity will have a positive impact on the European squad, as well as the English players awaiting the start of The Open.
The golfer's remarks follow those recently made by Colin Montgomerie, who confirmed his belief that his team are favourites to win the Ryder Cup.
