Test match tickets news: Kirby tips Kieswetter for England success

09/02/2010

Cricket fans could be inspired to purchase Test match tickets after being told by Steve Kirby that the future of the English game looks promising.

The Gloucestershire fast bowler is currently involved in the England Lions tour of the United Arab Emirates, following a rigorous two-week workout at Loughborough's National Cricket Centre.

While being put through his paces at the academy, Kirby got the opportunity to bowl at some of the up-and-coming prospects of English cricket, such as Leicestershire's James Taylor, Somerset's Craig Kieswetter and Hampshire's Michael Lumb.

Kirby was big enough to ignore local rivalries to heap particular praise on wicketkeeper-batsman Kieswetter.

"It pains me to say it about a Somerset player, but Kieswetter is such a talented lad," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "I'm sure he will go on to play at the very highest level."

Anyone keen to watch the current batch of England stars in action, possibly including a refreshed Andrew Strauss, may wish to book Test match tickets for the forthcoming England v Bangladesh series, which begins on May 31st 2010.
