Twickenham tickets news: Riki Flutey wants to stand out in England side

12/02/2010

Riki Flutey is eager to stamp his mark on the England team, which could help his chances of playing against the Barbarians in front of fans with Twickenham tickets later this year.

England will face-off against the Baa-Baas on May 30th 2010 and the former Wasps centre, who now plies his trade in France with Brive, has revealed he is keen to stand out from his team-mates in the run-up to the match.

He will have the remainder of the 6 Nations to impose himself on the England side and impress coach Martin Johnson, starting with the Valentine's Day game against Italy.

"I would like to do something special for England," the midfield man said.

And he revealed that Johnson has urged the team to play a more open brand of rugby against Italy than they displayed at times during the February 6th victory over Wales.

"There is huge emphasis in this squad about having freedom and less structure," Flutey said.
