World Cup tickets news: England place would be dream come true, says Ashley Young
10/02/2010
Ashley Young has expressed his excitement at the prospect of representing England in front of fans with World Cup tickets this summer.
The reigning PFA Young Player of the Year will be among the contenders to make Fabio Capello's squad for the tournament, something which he said would fulfil his boyhood dreams.
"As a boy you always want to play in the major tournaments and the World Cup is the biggest to be involved in," the Aston Villa winger told Sky Sports. "Hopefully I will make it and be on the plane come the end of the season."
Despite his excitement at playing to fans with World Cup tickets, Young added that he is currently keen to focus on his club side.
With Villa currently sat in seventh place in the Premier League, he will be eager to close the two-point gap on sixth-placed Tottenham, following the two sides' goalless draw at White Hart Lane on February 6th 2010.
