World Cup tours news: Fabio Capello is up for England v Italy final

Football fans will end their World Cup tours by witnessing an England v Italy final, if Fabio Capello gets his way.

The England boss echoed the words of Italy coach Marcello Lippi in stating that a clash with his native country would be a dream end to the tournament, Reuters reports.

Last week, Lippi said he was eager to face off against Capello in the South Africa World Cup final because he would be interested to see his fellow countryman's reaction when the Italian national anthem was played.

A meeting between the two European footballing giants would make for a "beautiful final", he said.

Speaking during a lecture on sports management at Parma University, Capello picked up the mantle, with the former AC Milan and Real Madrid boss saying: "I would sign up straight away for an Italy-England final, like Lippi says."

He went on to express his love for the English game, saying it is "beautiful" that families can attend matches without fearing crowd violence - something which he added is not the case in the country of his birth.
