Former usherette to wow crowds at Henley Festival

A performer will mark the end of a true rags-to-riches tale when she appears in front of people with Henley Festival tickets next month.

Zannah Brooksbank, who has previously been an usherette at the Thames event, will this year be able to grab the spotlight herself as she takes to the stage with her two band-mates in the opera group Milan.

Given her past working at the site, Brooksbank told the Bracknell Forest Standard it will be "very special" for her to return as one of the acts to be watched by people with Henley Festival tickets.

"I always hoped that I would be on stage here one day so I feel very lucky and all three of us are very excited about being part of such a great event," she added.

Milan will play on the penultimate night of the July 7th-11th 2010 event, as will the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Other stars on the bill of the five-night festival include Ronan Keating and Will Young.
