Golf world waits for Corey Pavin's Ryder Cup wildcards
06/09/2010
The wait to learn the identities of Corey Pavin's four wildcard selections to take on Europe in front of fans with Ryder Cup packages is almost over.
Pavin will announce the US team's picks tomorrow (September 7th 2010), with some of the country's best golfers all vying for one of the final spots in the squad.
Among the stars who will be hoping to receive one of the wildcard spots is world number one Tiger Woods, who is languishing in 12th on the US Ryder Cup points list following a disappointing last few months on the links.
Bo Van Pelt, Stewart Cink and Rickie Fowler are just some of the other big names who could miss out on the chance to play at the Celtic Manor Resort in front of people with Ryder Cup packages between October 1st and 3rd 2010.
European captain Colin Montgomerie has already announced he will be taking Padraig Harrington, Luke Donald and Edoardo Molinari as his wildcards.
