Graeme Swann calls for ODIs to be scrapped

One-day internationals (ODIs) should be scrapped in favour of T20 and Test cricket, England off-spinner Graeme Swann has said.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Swann argued this form of the game should go to ease the overcrowding of the international cricket calendar.
He said: "We do play too much cricket and if something had to give my choice would be 50-over cricket, or make it 40-over cricket or something."
However, Swann acknowledged his view is a minority one and emphasised that he is still keen to go on playing for England in all forms of the game.
Those who like ODIs can enjoy corporate hospitality while watching them next summer at venues such as the Rose Bowl, which hosts England's games against the West Indies on June 16th and South Africa on August 28th.
Last week the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) welcomed a review of the domestic game by former chairman David Morgan advocating the return of 50-over cricket to the county scene.
ECB chief executive David Collier said this should happen to ensure England can win a World Cup to go with their number one rankings in T20 and Test cricket.
