Henley Regatta corporate tickets news: Event to feature 'puppet-painted fireworks'
06/05/2010
People with Henley Regatta corporate tickets will witness something a bit different during the event's annual fireworks displays this year.
According to local newspaper the Henley Standard, the nightly lights shows will feature a 14ft carnival puppet, which through the utilisation of sophisticated digital painting technology will appear to conduct the show, accompanied by music.
London firm icon:mei is assisting with the project and the event's art director Stewart Collins has suggested organisers are trying to give visitors that "extra special moment".
"We have always felt that our firework shows are a great opportunity to do something more than just chucking a match into a box of fireworks and standing back," he explained.
As well as the fireworks, the July 7th to 11th 2010 festival will give visitors the chance to see a host of top musicians and performers, including opera singer Bryn Terfel, violin virtuoso Nigel Kennedy and pop stars Ronan Keating and Will Young.
