Henley Regatta tickets news: Drysdale 'could be fit for Thames event'
10/06/2010
World champion sculler Mahe Drysdale may be recovered from his recent injuries soon enough to compete in front of fans with Henley Regatta tickets.
Drysdale has been suffering from a back injury, just one of several New Zealand rowers to pick up knocks recently.
Holders of Henley Regatta tickets may be interested to hear, however, that he is soon to go to Europe and carry on training.
Alan Cotter, high performance manager for Rowing NZ, told Stuff.co.nz: "We'll see how he's going in the first week over there."
Another rower to be injured is sculler Anna Reymer, who has also hurt her back, while Hamish Bond and Harriet Austin are getting over rib stress fractures.
Entries to the Henley Royal Regatta close at 18:00 BST on June 14th 2010.
As well as Great Britain, planned participants include France, the USA and Canada.
New Zealand, however, is the first country to release the details of the squad it will be sending.
