Hospitality tickets news: Reve de Sivola 'likely to run in Neptune'

21/01/2010

Horse racing fans with hospitality tickets for the Cheltenham Festival are likely to see Reve de Sivola run in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle, his owner has revealed.

The five-year-old horse is unlikely to get another chance to display his potential ahead of the festival, meaning that his last run before the event will have been his victory in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury last month.

Despite the win, owner Paul Duffy was critical of Reve de Sivola's performance at the event, saying: "He didn't jump that well at Newbury and had to make up several lengths to allow for him jumping and just stayed on."

Mr Duffy went on to tell the Press Association that while the Neptune is likely to be the event which the horse runs in, he was not prepared to rule out an appearance in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at the March meeting.

"We are keeping all the options open," he said.

Earlier this week, Tony McCoy revealed that he would like to appear in front of fans with hospitality tickets in the Gold Cup event.

He said he would welcome the opportunity to ride Denman in the race, but as yet he had not been approached with such an offer.
