Six Nations corporate hospitality news: Jones ready for Twickenham
05/01/2010
Rugby fans planning a corporate hospitality experience at Twickenham for England's Six Nations clash with Wales can expect to see Stephen Jones in action.
The Wales and British Lions stand off injured his right shoulder playing for Llanelli Scarlets against Newport Gwent Dragons on New Year's Eve.
Initial reports suggested the injury would make Jones a doubt for Wales's Six Nations opener at Twickenham on February 6th 2010.
However, the Scarlets medical staff have now revealed the problem is not as serious as first thought and reassured Wales coach Warren Gatland that his playmaker will be fit to face England.
The injury has been diagnosed as a grade one AC joint sprain, which will keep Jones on the sidelines for only around a fortnight.
That should mean people enjoying a corporate hospitality experience at Twickenham for the game see a near full-strength Wales team, as Shane Williams, Lee Byrne, Alun Wyn Jones, James Hook and Adam Jones have all recovered from injuries.
Mike Phillips is likely to be the one notable absentee, as the Wales and British Lions scrum-half is currently sidelined by an ankle ligament problem.
