Twenty20 tickets news: Middlesex keen on Makaya Ntini signing

20/01/2010

Cricket enthusiasts with Twenty20 tickets could be set to catch Makaya Ntini in action at the Brit Oval.

Middlesex are chasing the signing of the veteran South Africa pace bowler after he was omitted from the national side for their forthcoming tour party to India next month.

Ntini had a torrid time in the recent Test series against England which saw him dropped from the side in the third match at Newlands in Cape Town.

It was around this time that rumours first began to surface about the possibility of the 32-year-old moving to Middlesex, which could see him feature in front of fans with Twenty20 tickets for the July 8th clash with Surrey Brown Caps at the Oval.

The county's director of cricket Angus Fraser expressed his belief that signing Ntini would improve his squad and ruled out looking for another bowler if the move falls through.

"He is the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle so we would not be looking for anyone else," Fraser told the Harrow Observer.ADNFCR-2911-ID-19567673-ADNFCR
