Twickenham hospitality news: Mike Brown not hurt by Six Nations omission
15/01/2010
Mike Brown has said he is not too disappointed to miss out on the chance to appear in front of Twickenham hospitality ticketholders at the 2010 Six Nations.
The Harlequins fullback has not represented England since the ill-fated tour to New Zealand in 2008, while teammates Danny Care, Nick Easter and Ugo Monye have all been named in coach Martin Johnson's squad for the tournament.
Despite being overlooked, Brown said that he is confident in his own game and believes he could be close to earning a recall to the national team.
Speaking to the Richmond and Twickenham Times, he said: "[England attack coach] Brian [Smith] has been keeping me in the loop, letting me know what I need to work on and where I stand in the pecking order.
"I don't think I'm too far away."
Twickenham hospitality ticketholders will be able to see Delon Armitage, Mathew Tait or utility back Ben Foden lining up for the Six Nations at fullback in place of Brown.
