Wimbledon corporate hospitality news: Justine Henin hits form on comeback

07/01/2010

Tennis fans enjoying a Wimbledon corporate hospitality experience this summer may get to see Justine Henin at her best.

The Belgian player retired in 2008 when she was ranked number one in the world, but decided to make a comeback for the 2010 season.

Commentators were unsure whether Henin would be able to recapture the form that saw her win seven Grand Slam titles, but the early signs are good.

The 27-year-old made it into the semi-finals of the Brisbane International on Thursday with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 win over Melinda Czink.

Henin will now face former French Open champion Ana Ivanovic in the semi-finals, as she attempts to win her first tournament back on the WTA Tour.

The other semi-final will see Henin's compatriot Kim Clijsters, who won the US Open after ending her own spell in retirement last year, take on Andrea Petkovic.

Neither of the Belgian players has won the Wimbledon ladies' singles title, although Henin has twice reached the final at the All England Club.ADNFCR-2911-ID-19545803-ADNFCR
