Wimbledon VIP packages news: Andy Murray in Australian Open final
28/01/2010
Tennis enthusiasts could be inspired to book Wimbledon VIP packages thanks to Andy Murray's ongoing success in the Australian Open.
The Scottish star overcame big-hitting Croatian giant Marin Cilic in the semi-final of the tournament to set up a final showdown with either Roger Federer or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on January 31st 2010.
Murray made up for his defeat in the US Open last September at the hands of Cilic, although he found the going harder than in his previous matches in the competition.
Despite a schedule which has seen him defeat the likes of Rafael Nadal, Murray had yet to drop a set before going into today's clash, but he was given a rude awakening when his opponent won the first 6-3.
However, the Scot came back strongly and won the next three sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.
Murray backed Swiss maestro Federer to join him in the final, telling the BBC: "I would expect Roger to come through and he's so good in slam finals.
"But if I go out there and play my best I think I've got a chance of winning and it's really exciting."
